Job Title: Departmental Assistant Store Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Overview

• The Departmental Assistant Store Managers will assist in managing the daily activities of the store, ensuring smooth operations on the shop floor, and delivering excellent customer service.
• We are looking for two Assistant Managers with specific experience in different areas: one with expertise in electronics and another with a background in supermarket operations. Both positions require strong supervisory skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and manage staff, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
• Ensure the store is well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
• Implement and maintain store policies and procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Analyze sales data and assist in implementing strategies to improve sales and profitability.
• Conduct regular staff training and development sessions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and present regular reports on store performance to senior management.

Requirements

• OND / HND / BSc in Business Administration or any related field.
• Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in a retail setting, such as Prince Ebeano, Spar, or similar.
• Proven experience in managing store operations and shop floor management.
• Strong supervisory experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Specific Requirements:

• Electronics Assistant Manager: Must have experience in electronics and have worked with brands like Samsung, LG, etc., for at least 3 years.
• Supermarket Assistant Manager: Must have worked in a supermarket for at least 3 years.
