Job Title: Architect

Location: Lagos

The Role

• The Architect will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the architectural design process for real estate development projects.
• You will leverage your extensive experience and design expertise to create innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing residential and commercial spaces.
• We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented architect with a minimum of 15 years of experience in real estate construction.
• A strong understanding of local building codes and regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Design Management:

• Lead the architectural design process for assigned real estate development projects, from initial concept development to construction drawings.
• Manage a team of junior architects and draftspersons, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of architectural design with other project disciplines.
• Ensure all design solutions comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability principles.

Design Expertise & Creativity:

• Develop innovative and functional architectural designs that meet project requirements, client objectives, and budget constraints.
• Utilize advanced design software (e.g., Lumion Revit, AutoCAD) to create high-quality architectural drawings, 3D models, and presentations.
• Stay abreast of current architectural trends, sustainable design principles, and new construction technologies.

Construction Documentation & Administration:

• Prepare comprehensive construction drawings, specifications, and other design documentation for tendering and construction purposes.
• Participate in construction site visits and address any design-related issues that arise during construction.
• Oversee the quality and accuracy of architectural details throughout the construction process.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Communicate design concepts clearly and concisely to clients, project managers, engineers, and contractors.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to effectively represent the architectural vision for the project.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and professional registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is mandatory.
• Master's Degree in Architecture (highly desirable).
• Minimum 15 years of experience as a licensed architect with a proven track record in real estate construction.
• Excellent Rendering Skills
• Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability principles.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
• Excellent design skills, creativity, and a strong eye for detail.
• Proven ability to lead and manage projects effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• A commitment to quality and professionalism in all aspects of architectural design.
