We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Zoo and Pool Maintenance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our zoo and pool facilities.
• The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, inspecting, and repairing equipment and facilities
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on zoo enclosures, pools, and surrounding areas
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment, such as pumps, filters, and HVAC systems
• Monitor and maintain water quality and chemical levels in pools and aquatic exhibits
• Collaborate with zookeepers and pool staff to ensure safe and healthy environments for animals and guests
• Identify and report potential hazards and maintenance needs to management
• Work efficiently to meet productivity standards and ensure minimal downtime

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair works
• Must reside in Abuja preferably around Utako
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
