Job Title: Specialist, Power Solutions

Summary
The Power Solution Specialist’s responsibility is to manage power efficiency programs and implement power strategies.
He/she is to ensure that the overall network availability increases with general refurbishment projects within the allocated budgets.
He/she is also responsible for driving connectivity of more sites to the grid and other OPEX reduction initiatives to ensure profitability.
Essential Duties
Compile thorough site and power audit templates and continuously update accordingly.
Co-ordinate and manage field teams that are responsible for the site and power audits.
Analysis and verification of site and power audit reports received from field teams.
Compile recommendations based on data received from audits to improve power efficiencies.
Co-ordinate and manage field teams that are responsible for power efficiency projects or general refurbishment.
Ensure timely reporting to management on all activities.
Provide recommendations and solutions to power problems and assist with implementation and execution thereof.
Presenting technical recommendations to collocation tenants and ability to technically motivate and support the recommended changes.
Provide detailed AC/DC Power Solutions designs.
Compile a complete bill of materials (BOM) to support recommendations.
Provide detailed AC/DC Power Upgrade designs and solutions to support customer requirements.
Develop a process to continuously track power efficiencies on all sites and reduce overall generator run hours.
Ability to perform financial analysis on power-related issues.
Support in the strategy, forecast (Monthly, Annual), plan and track the inventory on grid connections, site-wise spares, and call-outs utilization, excluded works spending, etc.
Validate the performance and SLAs of the gird vendors on the services.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or similar).
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Telecommunications site operations of which a minimum of three (3) years in Telecom grid power operations.
Knowledge of grid operations and site monitoring systems and tools.
Liaising skills with grid utilities.
