We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Weighbridge Clerk

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Job

• To weigh all delivery trucks on their way in and out of the loading area to assist with ensuring that the right quantity of Sugar is loaded on each truck.
• Inspect truck condition and implement food safety standard are meet before admittance.

The Job

• Ensure all trucks admitted for Sugar loading are scaled in and out with genuine gate pass.
• Determine the weight of the goods being loaded out by calculating the tare weight and net weight before and after loading.
• Report daily weight variance, weigh bridge condition and truck position around the weigh bridge to the operations supervisor.
• Implement compliance to vehicle food safety hygiene standard by carrying out preliminary truck inspection for trucks on queue before admittance.
• Ensure all trucks admitted meet terminal operational road worthy standard.
•  Monitor and report the condition of the weighbridge and the positioning of trucks in the weighbridge area
• Implement priority loading by maintaining constant communication with Shift Manager and Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Experience:

• 1 year experience in a similar role.

• Have an excellent verbal and written communication skill.
• Be able to work in a team.
• Be able to work in fast-paced environment
• Pay high attention to details.
