Job Overview

• We are currently looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team and help us build dynamic, user-friendly websites. We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.
• This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on).
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new features and functionality for WordPress websites.
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
• Ensuring high performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Collaborating with the design and marketing teams to implement attractive and functional websites.
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting content issues.
• Conducting WordPress training with the client.
• Monitoring the performance of the live website.
• Designing and managing the website back-end, including database and server integration.
• Creating custom post types, taxonomies, and plugins as needed.
• Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones.
• Optimizing sites for performance and SEO.
• Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field (preferred).
• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other CMS platforms (e.g., Joomla, Drupal).
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
• Experience with e-commerce solutions like WooCommerce.
• Understanding of SEO best practices.
• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
