We supply fresh and frozen poultry products to wholesalers, caterers and further processors, including products suitable for Halal customers. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Company Driver

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Transport staff, finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants, farms, retail and other distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Refuel and clean vehicle.
• Report road accidents to the direct supervisor and the maintenance department.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Ensure that vehicle documents/particulars are correct and up to date.
• Document and log work periods and kilometres spend driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Document loading and unloading process.
• Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations and parking) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Manoeuvre vehicle into loading or unloading positions.
• Get items, materials and goods to the client, farms, and other business locations on time.
• Maintain a positive attitude with staff and customers.
• Keep commercial driver’s license up to date.
• Collet and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.
• Record information on daily delivery record and obtaining customer signature upon delivery.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
• Assist in training associates when assigned
• Comply with company policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• High School Certificate SSCE/NECO/WASCCE/GCE credits in 5 subjects required.
• The ideal candidate must be honest, reliable and dependable.
• Minimum experience of 3 years and above in a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Knowledge of road regulatory policies
• Effective people management skills.
• Ability to carry out manual duties.
• Ability to comply with food safety and quality control practices.
• Knowledge of Nigerian roads.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard acceptable practices.
• Ability to practice safe and defensive driving at all times.
