Description

• The Dangote Cement Transport is currently seeking a skilled and experienced General Mechanic to join our team. As a General Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks used in our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of trucks to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine the best course of action for repair.
• Repair or replace faulty components using hand and power tools.
• Test repaired trucks to ensure proper functioning and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.

Requirements

• OND or Trade certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a general mechanic, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
