Locations: Ibadan, Oyo and Lagos

Job Summary

• The Business Manager will be responsible for business development, overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery and managing staff performance.
• The role requires a deep understanding of microfinance products, community engagement, and the ability to drive sales targets and revenue and increase market share.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and sales and strategic plans to achieve the branch sales targets.
• Monitor and manage the performance and development of subordinates to ensure sustained profitability, compliance with the regulatory code of conducts and internal controls.
• Oversee the evaluation of loan processing to determine customers financial eligibility and feasibility of repayment of loans.
• Proactively identify and assess the loan process risks and mitigate the exposure by maintaining an effective system of controls on loan disbursement.
• Ensuring punctual repayments of acquired loans from clients, contacting and visiting all parties based on needs.
• Ensure high-quality service by efficiently managing, developing and using all available resources (i.e. staff, systems and processes)
• Manage and ensure overall operational readiness/efficiency of branch infrastructure (including, premises, assets, physical security, and operational issues.
• Ensure that an effective control structure is maintained, with control activities defined at every level and duties appropriately segregated and recommend revision of internal controls where appropriate, to address new or previously uncontrolled risks
• Ensure that dual controls and levels of authority and limits of access to information/systems are adhered to
• Prepare periodic business performance reports including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Experience & Skills

• Ability to disburse Micro, SME Loans in large volumes without default.
• Experienced in repayment tracking and loan collection without a day default.
• Analytical and practical understanding of workflow, capacity planning / optimization and process implementation
• Proven experience of marketing and negotiating techniques
• Basic Financial Analysis - Ability to interpret income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and financial ratios.
• Business acumen - Ability to spot opportunities and optimize revenue generation for the business
• Extensive understanding of banking regulations.

Salary
N600,000 - N700,000 / month.
