Job Title: Power Plant Operator

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Position Overview

• We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Power Plant Operator to manage the operations and maintenance of our power plant facility.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power plant operations, with specific experience in handling gas generators and maintaining Wartsila gas engines.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems is a significant advantage for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee the day-to-day operations of the power plant facility
• Maintain and troubleshoot Gas Gasifier units
• Implement preventive and corrective actions to ensure optimal plant performance
• Utilize SCADA system for monitoring and controlling plant processes
• Independently manage and operate 12.5 MW gas generators
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks on Wartsila gas engines
• Keep detailed daily checklists including logbook entries, power readings, and fuel readings
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all times

Qualifications

• HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Prior experience working in a power plant in the FMCG or manufacturing industry
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining gas generators and Wartsila gas engines
• Proficiency in using SCADA systems to monitor and control plant processes
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing plant operations
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Experience in maintaining daily checklists and logs
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Salary
N150,000 - N162,000 monthly.
