Crane Mechanic at African Natural Resources & Mines Limited (ANRML)

ANRML was incorporated in 2012 as part of African Industries Group’s plan to embark on Backward Integration for its Steel Production. ANRML started its foray into Mining with the acquisition of Mining Lease in Kaduna State. Subsequently ANRML has also acquired multiple Mining and Exploration licenses in various minerals in over 15 sites and exploration activities are being carried out.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Crane Mechanic

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type:Full-time

Role Description

• The crane mechanic will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of crane models such as Grove, Zoomlion, and Sany.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving will also be crucial parts of the role.

Responsibilities

• Execution of daily maintenance, scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Knowledge of hydraulic circuits and the ability to repair hydraulic components.
• Fault diagnosis and planning of recertification methods.
• Should work in reputed form and with good credentials.

Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proven experienceworking with different forms of crane equipment, such as Grove, Zoomlion, and Sany.
• A minimum of 5–10years of experience as a hydraulic technician or crane mechanic with experience in the inspection of cranes to diagnose defects.
• Must have Hands on experience in troubleshooting and repairing of Crane system Hydraulics (Boom Telescopic system, Hydraulic Control Valves, Hydraulic Pumps, Hydraulic Motors, etc.).
• Should also have knowledge in repairs/overhauling of Power Transmission systems like Torque Convertor, Automatic Transmission, Powershift Transmissions, Power Transfer Gear Boxes, Mechanical Transmissions, Clutch systems, Differential & Axles with Planetary systems.
• Must have extensive knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics.
• Candidates living in close proximity to Kaduna and its environs are preferred.
