Job Title: Web Developer

Location: Benin City, Edo

Job Description

• A Web Developer is responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function according to a client's specifications.
• They strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
• The role involves both front-end and back-end development tasks and requires a strong understanding of modern web technologies and best practices.

Responsiblities

• Create well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Develop website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
• Maintain, expand, and scale websites as per evolving business needs.
• Regularly update content and design to keep the website current and functional.
• Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with web designers and other team members to match visual design intent.
• Communicate with stakeholders to discuss requirements and project progress.
• Work closely with IT, marketing, and other departments to ensure cohesive web functionality.
• Plan and manage software platforms and web applications across multiple organizational units.
• Develop and validate testing schedules to ensure browser and device compatibility.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet deadlines effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or a related field.
• Proven working experience in web programming.
• Experience in planning and developing websites across multiple products and organizations.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, or Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
• Knowledge of web applications, security principles, and session management.
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics and analytics tools.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find effective solutions.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work from home or office as required
• Occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings or site visits.
