Job Brief

• As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations.
• Your main objective will be to streamline and automate software development and deployment, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable systems.
• You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to implement best practices for continuous integration, deployment, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, and security scans into the CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog to monitor system health and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline manual processes.
• Use scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
• Respond to and resolve production incidents and issues on time.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven 3 - 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
