Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi
Employment Type: Full Time
Working Days: Monday-Saturday

Job Summary 

• Our client is seeking a seasoned finance professional with a proven track record to fill the role of Accountant.
• The ideal candidate must be an ICAN certified with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for driving financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing industry
• ICAN membership is plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
