Job Title: Program Manager (Child Protection & Adolescent Girls Empowerment)

Job Summary

• The Program Manager will oversee the implementation and management of all activities aimed at reducing child marriage and supporting the empowerment of adolescent girls in North west Nigeria.
• She will be instrumental in engaging various stakeholders, including local communities to build a supportive framework for the empowerment of adolescent girls.
• This position requires a dynamic person capable of driving initiatives that intersect gender equality, education, and child protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with case workers and child protection groups to establish reporting and response systems for abuse against adolescent girls.
• Manage the transition from planning to action, supervise the formation and training of community groups for SGBV case handling, and oversee community outreach and education efforts.
• Lead the development and implementation of livelihood enhancement programs for adolescent girls, including skills training and economic empowerment initiatives.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor program effectiveness, adapt strategies based on feedback, and ensure continuous improvement.
• Generate reports on program outcomes, document case studies, and compile final analyses to illustrate successes and areas for future enhancement.
• Maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders to ensure sustained support and project success.

Qualifications and Experience

• M.Sc. in Public Health, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in program management, specifically in gender empowerment or child protection programs.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of the socio-economic and cultural context of Northwest Nigeria.
• Excellent communication, leadership, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluency in local languages and English is highly desirable.
