Job Title: Videographer and Cameraman

Job Summary

• A Videographer and Cameraman is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage, operating camera equipment, and collaborating with production teams to produce engaging video content.
• This role involves a combination of technical skills, creative vision, and the ability to work in various environments.

Key Responsibilities
Video Production:

• Operate and maintain video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Capture high-quality video footage for various projects, including films, commercials, corporate videos, and live events.
• Ensure proper framing, focus, and exposure in all video shots.
• Set up and dismantle camera equipment and related gear.

Pre-Production:

• Collaborate with directors, producers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Scout and evaluate locations for shooting, considering lighting, sound, and aesthetics.
• Develop shot lists and storyboards based on project briefs.

Post-Production:

• Transfer and organize raw video footage for editing.
• Work closely with video editors to ensure seamless integration of captured footage into the final product.
• Provide feedback on edits to maintain visual consistency and quality.

Technical Expertise:

• Stay updated on the latest video equipment, technology, and industry trends.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Maintain and care for all video production equipment.

Creative Input:

• Bring creative ideas and concepts to the table for enhancing video projects.
• Experiment with different shooting techniques, angles, and lighting setups.
• Collaborate with the creative team to achieve the desired visual style and narrative.

Client Interaction:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
• Provide guidance and suggestions to clients during the production process.
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality video content on time.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other members of the production team, including directors, producers, editors, and sound technicians.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior videographers or camera operators.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in video production or a related field.
• A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous video work.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Videographer and Cameraman or similar role.
• Proficiency in operating video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Strong understanding of video production techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Excellent visual storytelling skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and a passion for visual arts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by project schedules.

Salary
N60,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
