Job Description

• As we expand our offerings to include wheat breads and other innovative flavors, we seek a skilled and creative Professional Baker to join our team and help us achieve our vision.
• The Professional Baker will be responsible for preparing a variety of bread products, including; white bread,wheat bread, chocolate flavor bread, holy communion breadand other flavor profiles.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in baking techniques, ingredient handling, and recipe development. They will work closely with the bakery team to ensure high standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Bread Preparation:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bread, including white, wheat bread, and specialty flavors of different sizes
  • Follow and innovate upon existing recipes to ensure high quality and consistency.
  • Adjust recipes and processes based on market trends and customer feedback.

• Ingredient Management:

  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and industry standards.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients.
  • Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients.

• Baking Operations:

  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofers.
  • Monitor baking processes to ensure optimal texture, flavor, and appearance.
  • Implement and adhere to hygiene and safety standards in all baking operations.

• Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular quality checks on finished products.
  • Make necessary adjustments to recipes and processes to meet quality standards.
  • Address and resolve any baking-related issues or inconsistencies.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other staffs to develop production schedules and ensure timely product availability.
  • Communicate effectively with the bakery manager to discuss production needs and improvements.

• Innovation and Development:

  • Experiment with new bread recipes and flavors to keep up with market trends and customer preferences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional baker, preferably in a bakery setting.
• Strong knowledge of bread-making techniques, including artisan and commercial methods.
• Experience with white,wheat bread production and flavor experimentation is a plus.
• Ability to handle and operate all baking equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Creativity and a passion for baking and flavor development.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A minimum of SSCE
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in baking and pastry arts preferred.
• Minimum of 2years of professional baking experience.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work early morning hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of a fast-paced baking environment.

Salary
N45,000 - N55,000 / Month.
