Job Title: Investment & Research Analyst

Location: Nigeria (Remote)
Team: Treasury Compliance & Settlement

The Role

• As our Investment & Research Analyst, you are responsible for compiling information drawn from relevant research data gathered to help managers see the business value.
• You will help gather robust insights on our customers and competitors and continuously monitor business performance.
• You will design and execute research projects that meet business objectives and assist in reporting insights to the wider organization.
• You will prepare reports and presentations, to provide insights on what the data reveals to facilitate decision-making.

What You will be Doing Everyday

• Daily monitoring of Bamboo’s market to market gain/loss on Investment securities to ensure zero Loss on all investments embarked by Bamboo while maximizing returns on Funds Under management.
• Research and Explore other investment options.
• Weekly monitoring of Unutilized customer deposits and provide insights and analysis on how these funds can be deployed.
• Researching market trends, conducting surveys, analyzing data from competitors, and analyzing the business's operations, expenditures, and customer retention to identify patterns of potential issues or improvements.
• Providing recommendations to improve future business operations.
• Perform comprehensive review of due diligence documents of potential partners. Help discover all the data points we need to feed into our decision-making process and assist with developing final investment memos. Examples include talking to customers, looking at metrics, and assessing teams.
• Support the treasury team to manage investment pipeline by assisting with inbound requests, systematizing proactive follow-ups, etc.
• Review of Due diligence documents of potential business partners.
• Provide actionable insight that could assist the Senior Investment Manager in making investment decisions.

Who You Are

• 2 years' experience in a research or data analysis role at a fintech, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting firm.
• You have broad understanding of or strong interest in wealth management, institutional asset management, as well as information technology
• You have basic statistics, data analysis and visualization skills allowing you to effectively explore quantitative data and communicate resulting insights. Knowledge of SQL is helpful.
• You have strong data analysis and data gathering skills with the ability to communicate in a clear manner insights from the analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a very fast paced environment. Essentially, you need to be able to deliver under pressure.
• You're able to work autonomously and deliver a project from start to finish if needed, but also collaborate with various stakeholders.
• You are great at prioritizing outputs across various projects and able to manage your time to meet tight deadlines.
• You're skilled at gathering both internal and external customer feedback and requests, empathizing with their challenges and opportunities, and prioritizing designs to optimize results.
• You are known for being a creative problem solver with the attitude that there is no problem that cannot be solved, fixed, or mitigated.
• You are a skilled communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences, and are known to articulate ideas and plans clearly, accurately, and effectively with all levels of internal and external audiences.
