Job Title: Business Development Manager 

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Executive who join our team.
  • The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities to meet and exceed Annual Business Plan Targets.

Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for:

  • Conducting extensive mapping of the assigned region to identify potential clients for Internet Leased Line and other products & services offered by the organization.
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with C-Level Executives of potential and existing accounts.
  • Understanding client needs, offering solutions, answering inquiries, and responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Collaborating with sales and leadership teams to secure, retain, and grow accounts.
  • Developing informative presentations and delivering information to potential clients at meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Creating and managing a database of prospective client information using CRM software.
  • Making outbound calls to potential clients, closing sales, and managing the closing process.
  • Meeting quotas for cold, active, and inactive calls, appointments, and interviews, and achieving or exceeding annual sales goals.
  • Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and utilizing CRM software for sales administration.
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting, and maintaining short- and long-term business development plans.
  • Coordinating with support teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Ensuring collections of receivables meet set targets.

Academic Qualification

  • Master’s in Business Management or equivalent degree.
  • NYSC Certified.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of B2B experience in a Telecommunications Company or Internet Service Provider.
  • Familiarity with Internet Leased Line, Home Broadband, FTTH, FTTX, VoIP, IPTV, and Telecommunications Operations.

Skills Required:

  • Fair knowledge of Telecom Technologies including Internet Bandwidth & Leased Circuits, Smart Solutions & Internet of Things (IoT), and Internet Broadband.
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to identify potential leads and negotiate sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
  • Knowledge of sales management, marketing, strategic management, and business planning.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to perform continuous follow-ups.
  • Prior experience in Telecommunication Business Development preferred.
  • Integrity, honesty, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Salary Scale
N1,500,000 to N1,800,000 Per Annum plus Other Benefits.
