Job Title: Head, Operations

Reports To: CEO

Job Summary

• Overseeing and coordinating operational activities within both the Engineering Solutions (Oil & Gas)and Construction arms of the business.
• The ideal candidate, preferably a Mechanical Engineer, will possess extensive experience and expertise in managing oil & gas and power sector related operations,ensuring project delivery, optimizing processes, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering Solutions and Construction teams to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize resource utilization and project execution.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
• Implement client procurement, maintenance and engineering solutions to the desired quality and delivery timelines.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all engineering solutions meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
• Lead and mentor project management teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the CEO.

Other Responsibilities:

• In addition to the function-specific competencies and experience, interested applicants must be self-starters, who possess entrepreneurial acumen and a “can-do” spirit needed to navigate a competitive business landscape.

Competency and Skill Requirements

• First Degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering), or a related field. A Master’s Degree and relevant professional qualifications (COREN, PMP etc.) will be preferred additional qualifications.
• Up to 10 years of experience in operations management, with a significant portion in the Oil & Gas and/or Power sector.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering and construction projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic operational plans that align with organizational goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry standards in Oil & Gas, Power Sector and Real Estate Development.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure compliance in all operational activities.
• Certified user of Autocad or any other design software.
