Job Title: Relationship Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• The Relationship Officer is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to support the bank's growth objectives.
• This role involves identifying potential clients, promoting financial products and services, managing customer accounts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition:

• Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and referrals.
• Promote the bank’s financial products and services to prospective clients.
• Conduct presentations and sales pitches to convert leads into clients.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
• Regularly engage with clients to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide timely support.

Account Management:

• Manage and monitor customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist clients with account openings, loan applications, and other banking services.
• Ensure all client documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Cross-Selling:

• Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients.
• Collaborate with other departments to offer tailored solutions that meet clients’ needs.
• Achieve sales targets by promoting relevant banking products.

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
• Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in products and services.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve customer experience and satisfaction.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and feedback.
• Prepare regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market trends.
• Ensure all documentation is stored securely and is accessible for audit purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Good understanding of banking products and services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
