We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Rider

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Dispatch Manager or Logistics Supervisor

Job Brief

• We are looking for a reliable and efficient Delivery Rider who is concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner.
• The Delivery Rider will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
• The ideal candidate should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience.
• You should be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Following delivery driving routes and time schedules
• Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting and operating the delivery vehicle
• Collecting payments and giving receipts
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a Delivery Rider
• Valid professional driver’s license
• Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• High school degree

Additional Information:

• Work Environment: Road settings in various weather conditions. Some physical labor may be required for loading and unloading items.

Qualifications and Skills:
A well-qualified delivery rider should have a unique set of skills and qualifications that include:

• Reliable driving skills to safely navigate on the road and deliver packages on time
• Knowledge of local areas and routes to ensure efficient delivery
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines and handle multiple orders simultaneously
• Good physical health and stamina to withstand long hours of riding, carrying packages, and possible adverse weather conditions
• Interpersonal and customer service skills to interact professionally with customers and represent the company positively
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs on the delivery vehicle
• Problem-solving skills to adapt to unexpected situations, like road closures or undeliverable packages
• Communication skills to liaise effectively with dispatchers and customers, providing updates and resolving potential issues
• Ability to follow procedures and guidelines related to package handling, delivery protocols, and safety regulation

• Pay Range: N90,000 minimum to N100,000 maximum
