Job Title: Cybersecurity & Governance Officer

Job Description

• We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive individual with a good knowledge of cybersecurity principles and regulatory requirements, to ensure information security programmes are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies to minimise or eliminate risk and audit findings.
• S/he will develop business-relevant metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the programmes, facilitate appropriate resource allocation and enhance the maturity of the security and compliance programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures;
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor and report effectiveness of security controls and governance processes;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure implementation of effective cybersecurity controls in accordance to ISO 27001:2022 standard
• Assist in development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness and training programmes
• Support incident response activities and assist in investigation of security breaches
• Stay updated with latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies
• Participate in development of security metrics and dashboards for executive reporting
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NDPR, ISO 27001)
• Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity governance issues
• Management of all passwords e.g. Reset and admin privilege control and X-Gen User administration and reporting.

Person Specification & Required Qualifications

• HND / Bachelor's Degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or any related discipline
• 2 - 5 years’ cognate post NYSC experience in Cybersecurity Governance, Information Security, Risk Management, or Compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and tools.
• Experience within the Financial Services sector will be an added advantage
• Experience in managing/working with senior stakeholders will be a distinct advantage.
