Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

• Provides maintenance support on the line. Execution of planned and corrective maintenance activities on the line.
• Maximizes availability of line equipment while ensuring health and safety and minimizing the impact of operation to the environment. 

Position Description
Planned Maintenance:

• Executes daily, weekly and other planned maintenance activities according to schedule and Planning.
• Carries out maintenance and repair work as per work order meeting all the safety and quality requirements while minimizing production interruption.
• Lubrication of all rotating parts for smooth operations of the machine
• Ensures that all line and equipment specific problems and outstanding work is communicated effectively to supervisors.
• Support and work around the filling lines, plastics lines, blending and utilities
• Ensure proper arrangement of tools and proper cleaning and storage
• Support the production team in ensuring smooth operation of the lines
• Support the Engineers in cutting and measuring materials.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment and HSE compliance.
• Participate in all safety programs, such as drills, toolbox meetings, near-miss reporting, etc.
• Support in machine production of quality output that meets specification.
• Support in machinery setting and calibration to standard required
• Support to monitor all weighing equipment’s for correct measurement
• Not more than 5% breakdown of the line
• Ensure no more than 0.2% variance (loss/gain) per filling by accurately measuring product quantities for each packaging.          

Job Requirements

• C&G, OND, NABTEB or Trade Test 1, 2 & 3 in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Must have at least five credits including mathematics and English language in senior school certificate exam (SSCE)
• Ability to diagnose modern automated equipment.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good basic knowledge of lubricant packaging process.
• 1 - 2 Years relevant experience
•  Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent attendance is a must. Open-minded and willing to work in cross-functional teams.
• This position also includes frequent body motions like pushing, lifting, walking up and downstairs, etc.
