Job Title: Branch Manager

Locations: Owerri - Imo and Enugu

Description

• We are looking for a talented Branch Manager to assign and direct all work performed at the branch and to supervise all operations.
• You will manage staff, foster a positive working environment and ensure customer satisfaction always for proper business operations across the branch.
• The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enrich the branch's portfolio.

Job Responsibilities
As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Providing leadership and guidance to Relationship Managers
• Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment to drive employee engagement and retention.
• Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
• Develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans
• Meet goals and metrics
• Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
• Bring out the best of branches’ personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation
• Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
• Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
• Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
• Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's Degree is a plus.
• 3 - 5+ years of proven work experience in a Microfinance Bank
• Minimum of 3 years Experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience within the finance industry
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans is required.
• Male is preferred for gender balance
• Microfinance Certification is an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of credit and risk management
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, especially with pivot tables and data manipulation/presentation
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks governing credit
• Ability to work on big data and generate insight for decision-making.
• Bankone Knowledge is an added advantage.
