We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Develop sustainable Business strategic Initiatives to achieve set goals and objectives of the organisation
• Develop Marketing/Business Development budget for the Organisation (revenue and expense)
• Signs up Business partnership with Clusters, Trade Associations, Cooperative Societies Microfinance Institutions and other Aggregators
• Sets up effective Broad Marketing structure for a newly set up Microinsurance for company
• Sign up strategic partnerships with at least 10each Clusters, Trade Associations, Cooperative Societies Microfinance Bank/Institutions, NGO, Community Based Association, SMEs Cluster, Aggregators and any other Channels suitable for the Distribution of Microinsurance products
• Develops Marketing / Business Development budget for the Organisation (revenue and expense)
• Generate Total Annual GPI of N638 Million
• Ensure that at least 60 new businesses are generated for the year.
• Develop New Initiatives to Drive Business Growth
• Monitor the implementation of the marketing and sales strategies.
• Develops new business opportunity through Government Intervention programme; Telco and other Enabling Channels for Insurance Distribution
• Manages Brokers and other Channels relationship.
• Career development of direct reports
• Monitors the organisation’s performance against monthly/quarterly/annual budget plans
• Prepares and present to MD/CEO the company wide production report on weekly/monthly and Quarterly basis
• Responsible for the achievement of overall company GPI target set for the year.
• Ensure the unit retains at least 85% of assigned renewable transactions
• Coordinate weekly Marketing Activity review meeting with the Business Development Team and report progress and Challenges to MD/CEO
• Collate and Submit Daily Marketing Activity Plan of Business Development Team before setting out for marketing and call memo of the day activity latest 4.30pm
• Engage regularly with the Underwriters, IT and other Technical staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Ensure that the Organisation make a good underwriting profit margin from the quality of business brought to the company
• Any other duty assigned by the Managing Director

Requirements:

• Interested candidates should possess HND / First Degree in any field of study.
• 4 - 5 years relevant experience.
