Graphics Designer at LemFi (Formerly Lemonade Finance)

LemFi (YC S21) is building the neobank for African diaspora in North America & Europe. We provide our users with a multi-currency account that allows them to hold, send, and receive money from Africa in any currency for their business and personal banking needs. We are a fast-paced startup with entities in the UK, USA, Canada and Nigeria and you would be required to familiarize yourself with necessary statutory and regulatory requirements in these locations.

About The Role

• As a Junior Graphics Designer, you are a gifted and imaginative person who has more than-average understanding of graphic design software and how to use them. You understand and have a basic understanding of composition, color theory, and design concepts, which enables you to create aesthetically attractive and interesting images.
• While you may not name your layers, you're able to organize your work in a manner that helps colleagues and collaborators find what they need at every time.

Job Summary

• The role of the Junior Graphic Designer is a remote position within LemFi's Marketing team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the design team and contributing to various projects.
• As the ideal candidate, you should have experience creating content for marketing and brand storytelling outcomes. You will support LemFi's marketing expansion efforts in Africa, North America and Europe.

Responsibilities are as follows:

• Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure a consistent design and branding across all materials
• Work closely with collaborators to ensure projects are completed on time
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends and technologies
• Ability to take graphic design materials from concept to completion while receiving feedback and revising as necessary.
• A keen understanding of design for corporate, industry-facing creative design.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) is a must.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Effectively communicate project progress and any issues that arise with the team and collaborators.
• Commit to continuously improving skills and knowledge through training, research, and experimentation to enhance the quality of work delivered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a graphics designer with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Adaptability to global operational needs and ability to work in a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment.
• Demonstrable skills in file management and in using graphic design software.
• Portfolio, showcasing your ability to create engaging graphics and typography.
• Demonstration of an upward trajectory growth in skills
• Compliance with the agreed brand design guidelines (colors & fonts)
