Job Overview

• The Shelf Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all shelves in the supermarket are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• This role involves monitoring inventory levels, replenishing products, and assisting customers with any queries related to the products on the shelves.
• The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to maintain a high standard of store presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Stocking Shelves: Ensure shelves are adequately stocked with merchandise at all times, and products are displayed according to the store's layout and promotional guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and notify the Store Manager or Inventory team when stock is low or needs reordering.
• Product Rotation: Regularly rotate products to ensure that older stock is placed in front to prevent expired goods.
• Shelf Maintenance: Keep shelves clean, organized, and free of clutter. Ensure that all products are correctly priced and labeled.
• Customer Assistance: Assist customers in locating products on the shelves and provide product information when needed.
• Promotional Displays: Set up and maintain promotional displays and ensure that they are eye-catching and stocked with the appropriate products.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all store policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
• Reporting: Report any issues related to product shortages, damages, or customer complaints to the Store Manager promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other store employees to ensure the smooth operation of the supermarket.

Working Conditions:

• The role involves standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of products.
• The work environment is typically a busy supermarket with a fast-paced atmosphere.
