Job Title: Freight Forwarding Sales Manager

Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced and driven Freight Forwarding Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts and expand our market presence in the freight forwarding industry.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding sales, excellent client relationship skills, and a proven ability to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share in the freight forwarding sector.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities, including potential clients and market segments.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including importers, exporters, and logistics partners.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Negotiate and finalize sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both clients and the company.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Provide training and support to team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
  • Monitor team performance, set objectives, and implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness.

Operational Coordination:

  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of freight forwarding services and meet client requirements.
  • Address and resolve any operational or service issues that impact client satisfaction or sales performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all sales activities.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, client acquisition, and market trends.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Utilize data and insights to refine sales strategies and improve overall team performance.

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities to enhance company visibility and attract new clients.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote company services and establish industry connections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in freight forwarding sales or logistics, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of freight forwarding operations, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Established network of contacts and relationships within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Experience with international freight forwarding and global logistics operations.

Salary
N250,000 - N280,000 Monthly.
