Senior Facilities Engineer at a Leading Independent Upstream Oil & Gas Company

We are a leading independent upstream Oil & Gas Company in Nigeria with active operatorship of prolific blocks. Based on our current expansion and development programs, we are seeking to engage experienced, intelligent and resourceful candidates in the capacity below:

Job Title: Senior Facilities Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities
Candidate must have competence in the following areas:

• Coordinate and monitor the design and development of production facilities, on/off shore from conception through implementation, including wellheads, flowlines, pipelines, oil/water/gas separation, conditioning and processing facilities.
• Technical evaluation of quotations, project schedules and participate in the commercial evaluation of projects and repair works.
• Trouble shoot the process plant problems, suggest feasible short term and long term solution to problems
• Develop, modify/review scope of work procedures/project execution plan in line with relevant specification and industry codes for Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Manage and supervise engineering design and installation of repair works on company projects.
• Technical evaluation of quotations, project schedules and commercial evaluation of projects and repair works.
• Provide commercial solutions that deliver optimum hydrocarbon value chain.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering Degree (Petroleum / Chemical) with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division. A Master's degree in Engineering will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant/cognate experience in an E&P company with a track record of engineering design and operations of oil & Gas facilities.
• Must have detailed understanding and competence in conceptual design, feasibility Pre FEED, FEED and detailed engineering design.
• Must be capable of working seamlessly with geosciences, production and reservoir groups and well as with other support teams in executing company's projects and driving operation.
• Must be able to manage and apply multiple concurrent field projects and work in a team environment.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of technical and operational practices as well as field development planning.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of Management and Contactors
• Must be result oriented and committed to company goals
• The ideal candidate for this position must have in-depth knowledge of facilities' practices and principles in piping, process and facility engineering in an E&P company.
• The candidate must have detailed understanding and competency in conceptual design, feasibility Pre FEED, FEED and detailed engineering design, including but not limited to the development/review of PFDs & P&IDs, facility revamps, optimization, debottlenecking of Crude Oil Processing Platforms/Flowstation, and Crude Oil Stabilization System.
• Also, the ideal candidate must be able to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, work in a team environment and be able to effectively communicate within and outside the company.
• The candidate must have worked in a managerial position for at least 10 years in a reputable E&P company.
