Job Description
The Factory Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment within the production plant.
The role ensures that all electrical systems operate efficiently, effectively, and safely.
The Factory Electrical Engineer will work closely with the production team to optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development:
Design and develop electrical systems and machinery for the manufacturing process.
Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for electrical components and systems.
Collaborate with other engineers and departments to integrate electrical designs with overall plant operations.
Optimize the performance and efficiency of electrical systems to support the plastic manufacturing processes.
Create and maintain technical documentation related to electrical systems and their integration into the manufacturing processes.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Oversee the maintenance of electrical systems and machinery in the production plant, ensuring optimal performance.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including ACB/VCB, motors, and other industrial equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues with production machinery, implementing effective solutions promptly.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of electrical components in production machinery.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all electrical systems and machinery meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical equipment.
Collaborate with the quality control team to address any electrical issues affecting product quality.
Health & Safety:
Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations specific to electrical systems in plastic production.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a
preference for experience in the plastics industry.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of electrical systems, including ACB/VCB operation and maintenance, as well as industrial equipment and hand tools.
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and machinery used in plastic production (extrusion, injection molding, blow molding).
Knowledge of electric motors and their integration into plastic manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in plastic production machinery.
Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills specific to electrical systems in plastic production.
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective electricalsolutions.
Proficiency in process optimization for electrical aspects of production.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
