Pipeline Engineer at a Fast-growing Indigenous Oil and Gas Group - Associates Consulting Limited

Associates Consulting Limited - Our client is a fast-growing Indigenous upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production, and power.

They are currently expanding with some pipeline projects around the country and are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pipeline Engineer 

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation and requirements.
• Provide primary selection, sizing along with layout of projected new or expanded facilities.
• Develop engineering designs and diagrams related to pipeline in A-Cad and E3D
• Prepare maps for pipelines, processing, dehydration, compression and treating facilities along with meter stations and various gas facilities.
• Review the technical documents during the design phase.
• Prepare the design basis for the pipeline design and interface with the relative process and structures and installation.
• Prepare Pipeline MTO
• Prepare Stress Analysis drawings for Pipeline in CAESAR II Version 12
• Prepare the technical specifications and data sheets for material purchasing.
• Check the results of surveys carried out by contractors.
• Optimize the laying route.
• Selection of laying spread/methods and perform/review installation design analysis for the pipeline system.
• Compile the alignment sheets and design manual.
• Assist the project engineering manager for solving technical problems arising during project development and for interfacing/supporting the procurement department.
• Perform/verify all discipline analyses and calculation notes required to design the pipelines system.
• Define standards and procedures for the relative engineering area and contribute to software evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Demonstrate specific knowledge and practice of ASME B31.4 and 8 and applicable pipelines ASME standards, design, construction, operation, pipeline analysis.
• Demonstrate specific knowledge and practice A-Cad, E3D, CAESAR II Version 12, MS Office
• Have knowledge of Pipeline Preliminary RoW selection/study using Google Earth pro,
• To be able to study/review Pipeline RoW Plan & Profile Survey Drawing,
• Ability to use AUTOCAD in preparing Pipeline Alignment Sheet,
• To prepare Pipeline Routing and Detail Drawings using Autocad, (E3D will be added advantage)
• To be able to generate Pipeline MTO,
• To prepare Pipeline Material Specifications & Datasheets.
