Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (MANI) is the leading mental health organization in Nigeria, dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and advocating for mental health support across the country. We are founded on two core beliefs: first, that all possible steps should be taken to alleviate stigma and the suffering arising from it, caused by ignorance and an unbelievable silence and negligence towards the health of the mind, from federal setups down to the locales; and second, that it becomes known that those affected by this disaster (as depicted in the first point), have a right to life with dignity and therefore a right to assistance.

Overview

• We are seeking a dynamic and creative Content Lead to join our team.
• The ideal candidate is passionate about mental health advocacy, has a knack for storytelling, is responsible for driving impactful storytelling, and possesses a deep understanding of digital content creation, creating engaging content across all platforms and strategies.
• As the Content Lead, you will spearhead our content initiatives, ensuring that our messaging is not only informative and educational but also engaging and impactful.
• You'll play a key role in shaping the voice of MANI and driving our mission to create a mentally aware and healthy Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with MANI’s mission and goals.
• Create compelling and diverse content, including articles, videos, graphics, and social media posts.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure content meets organizational objectives and resonates with our target audience.
• Oversee the editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
• Monitor and analyze content performance, using insights to optimize future content strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in digital content, social media, and mental health advocacy.
• Ensure all content is inclusive and compassionate, and supports our commitment to mental health awareness and education.
• Managing the organisation's social media visibility, and reviewing social media campaigns.
• Advocate for mental health awareness through creative and impactful storytelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field.
• Proven experience in content creation, strategy, and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and analytics.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Passion for mental health advocacy and a deep understanding of the mental health landscape in Nigeria.
• Creative thinker with the ability to produce engaging content that drives action.
