Role Definition

• The Metering Engineer is directly responsible for all metering activities which include calibration, transformer testing and repair, new facilities testing, and technical assessments.
• This role leads to the minimization of revenue losses due to meter inaccuracies.

Position Summary

• We need a Metering Engineer who can handle the calibration of metering devices for the company

Position Responsibilities

• Manage metering projects from inception to final deliverables.
• Perform all functions relating to supervising meter installations.
• Must be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of projects and services.
• Interacting with utility customers in a highly professional and courteous manner.
• Perform meter testing and meter installations at Electricity Management Services Limited when required
• Perform in-field quality audits of meter installation and electrical repair work

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills)

Qualification:

• Engineer (preferably Electrical) with up to 5 years of work  experience in Power Sector biased EPC Company

Experience:

• Possession of supervisory experience in large scale meter deployment projects will be an advantage.
• Proficiency with computers and IT systems
• Previous experience with work order management systems

Competence/Skills

• Must be able to pass company training certifications and meter reading test.
• Must be detail oriented, have good verbal skills and a neat/clean appearance.
• Must be willing to travel extensively and for long durations to job sites in various states
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of the principles of electricity, electrical metering, to preferably include; single, poly and CT metering.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and precautions.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian Metering Code and NERC requirements for metering
