• A Notching Operator is responsible for operating a notching machine to cut and shape metal blanks or parts to precise specifications. Here's a detailed job description:

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate notching machines, including loading programs and adjusting parameters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and instructions to ensure accurate notching.
• Load and unload metal blanks or parts, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning.
• Monitor machine performance, detecting and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct quality control checks, ensuring notched parts meet specifications and tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with other operators, supervisors, and quality control personnel to optimize production processes.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machines and replacing worn tools.
• Meet production targets, working efficiently to achieve desired output and quality.

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in machining or manufacturing preferred.
• Completion of on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs.
