Registrar at the Kaduna State College of Education

The Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya was established in 1977. It is located in Gidan Waya, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The College was established to produce quality teachers to assume teaching posts and posts of responsibility in primary and post primary educational institutions and educational administration among others. The College has since been producing quality teachers for the State and other States of the Federation.

Responsibilities

• The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer or Director of Administration of the College.
• He/She is a Principal Officer and Oversees the Registry Department.
• He/She also serves as Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board and other statutory committees.
• The Registrar is responsible for keeping all the records of the College.

Qualifications/Requirements
An applicant for this position should:

• Must be a graduate with good honours degree in Arts, Social Sciences and any of the Humanities with at least seventeen (17) years cognate experience or a Master Degree from a highly recognized institution of higher learning plus at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience or Doctorate with at least twelve (12) years cognate working experience;
• Evidence of administrative leadership, initiative and creativity in policy formulation, good industrial/human relations and positive managerial skills;
• Evidence of membership of a relevant professional body(ies) in Nigeria; be computer literate;
• Must command respect and enjoy the confidence of colleagues;
• Be objective, fair minded, impartial and of proven integrity; and
• Not exceeding fifty-five (55) years of age at the time of assumption of duty.

Terms of Appointment/Conditions of Service

• Conditions of service are the same as those obtainable in the College.
