We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Risk, Internal Control, Compliance and Audit Manager

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Job Purpose

• Oversee the entire audit cycle, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• A strong understanding of financial operations, internal controls, and industry compliance standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
• Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, and flowcharts
• Carry out and oversee the entire audit cycle, including risk and control management, ensuring operational efficiency, financial dependability, and compliance with pertinent directives and regulations.
• Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, and flowcharts.
• Prepare and present reports that reflect the audit’s results and document process.
• Identify loopholes, and recommend risk aversion measures, and cost savings.
• Document process and prepare audit findingsmemorandum.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the Internal Control, Risk and Compliance Unit respectively and ensure compliance in all units.
• Supervise the management of all bank's 3 CIs [concessions, covenants, charges, and interest] and ensure that all payments are in line with the stated 3CIs on the account.
• Manage the Transaction Monitoring System (TMS) and ensure it is effectively implemented.
• Conduct Special Investigations as may be assigned from time to time.
• Identify areas of financial and administrative strengths and weaknesses and develop best practices.
• Carry out detailed investigations when discrepancy, cash suppression or fraud is noticed.
• Suggest, develop, and implement measures for the improvement of internal controls.
• Responsible for the timely resolution of all Group Audit and Control findings as identified by Management.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of internal controls and ensure compliance by the different business units.
• Conduct Risk, Internal Control, Compliance and Audit training/sensitizations on the learning points or recommendations arising from various departments.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory bodies. Continually build on the risk and audit framework and constantly engage the entire organisation (sales, operations, BDC, and control departments and the organisation in general on how to utilize and apply the risk framework.
• Any other duties assigned by the Management.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as an Internal Auditor with 5-7 years’ experience.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office and Accounting software (QuickBooks).
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, and related discipline from a recognized university
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACIB, CFA, and CISA are desirable.
