Job Description
The Video Editor and Cameraman is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage and editing it into compelling visual content.
This role requires expertise in operating camera equipment, an understanding of visual storytelling, and proficiency in video editing software to produce engaging videos for marketing, corporate events, and other multimedia needs.
Responsibilities
Video Production:
Set up and operate camera equipment, lighting, and audio equipment for video shoots.
Plan and execute video shoots, including framing, lighting, and sound, to ensure the best possible
Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts and storyboards for video projects.
Conduct on-site shoots, capturing footage for interviews, events, promotional content, and more.
Video Editing:
Edit raw video footage into polished final products, ensuring consistency in style, branding, and tone.
Add music, voiceovers, sound effects, and motion graphics to enhance videos.
Collaborate with the creative team to ensure the final video meets the desired vision and objectives.
Perform color correction, audio mixing, and other post-production tasks to ensure high-quality output.
Project Management:
Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
Organize and archive video assets for easy retrieval and future use.
Stay updated on the latest video editing trends, tools, and techniques to improve production quality.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure all video equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
Stay updated on new camera technology and recommend upgrades when necessary.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to ensure video content aligns with overall branding and communication strategies.
Provide creative input on shoots and edits to enhance the visual storytelling.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Film Production, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cameraman and Video Editor in a professional setting.
Strong portfolio showcasing previous video work.
Skills:
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
Solid understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio techniques.
Strong storytelling abilities with an eye for visual composition.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
