Job Title: Network Infrastructure and Security Specialist (Telecoms)

Role Overview

• Network Infrastructure and Security Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure and ensuring the security of our network systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Ensure network security through firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security risks
• Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and standards
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network services
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and threats to continuously improve network infrastructure and security

• Firewall and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Efficiency

Educational and Professional Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• At least 6 years of experience in mobile network implementation and operation

Required Competencies :

• The post holder must be able to demonstrate appropriate skills and experience which will enable him/her to deliver in line with the main purpose and key responsibilities of the role. More specifically, the following competencies are required to succeed in the role:
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, etc.)
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CISSP, CEH) preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV)
  • Experience with network automation tools (e.g.,Python and shell scripting)
