We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Backend Engineer PHP (Laravel)

Location: Remote

Job Summary

• We are looking for extremely talented PHP/Laravel developers to join our remote team. Your task will be to build our new web application from scratch, and you should be able to do so in half the time that other competent developers think possible.
• You would be responsible for developing web applications and APIs from scratch working alongside product designer,frontend developer building interface design and user flow.
• We don't expect you to be perfect at frontend. But you should be able to make functional frontend with working knowledge of CSS, Tailwind CSS, VueJS. While focusing mainly on backend application with rapid development and faster development lifecycles.
• You will be required to see out theproject from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Designing basic front end website architecture and interface.
• Developing back-end website applications.
• Creating servers and databases for functionality.
• Ensuring security and scalability of application.
• Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
• Designing and developing APIs.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Staying abreast of developments in PHP and Laravel ecosystem.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• You must be competent & have min. 3 years experience in building complex web applications in PHP & Laravel Framework.
• Have understanding of OOP principles & proper code design;
• Unit testing and end-to-end testing;
• Have knowledge of SQL and any ORM;
• You must have hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles.
• Basic experience in Javascript, jQuery, VueJS, Tailwind CSS, HTML5, CSS3
• You must be able to use Git versioning system for tracking changes.
• Good working knowledge of MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL, ideally MongoDB.
• Experience with design and development of REST API.
• The desire to learn while coming up with new feature ideas.
• Must be able to work independently on the project.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies- AWS, GCP etc and Microservices architecture.
• Familiarity of your stack and its deployment in all environments.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
• Analytical and detail-oriented.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ready to work with new technologies and architectures.
• A self-starter who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 Monthly.
