Finchglow Holdings is a premier aviation company providing comprehensive travel management, cargo services, and training across all sectors of the economy, including corporate entities, trade partners, and individuals. Our corporate headquarters is situated in Ikoyi, southwest Lagos. The group consists of six (6) subsidiaries specializing in various aspects of the aviation industry downstream, along with two (2) affiliates, one of which operates in the upstream aviation sector. We maintain a strong presence across nine (9) locations, including five (5) in Lagos, two (2) in Abuja, and one each in Kano and Port-Harcourt.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

• As the UI/UX Designer, you are responsible for both the visual design and the overall user experience, ensuring that users have a positive, intuitive, and visually appealing interaction with the websites or products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to understand user needs, behaviors, and preferences, and use these insights to inform both UI and UX design decisions.
• Develop a comprehensive design strategy that aligns user goals with business objectives, considering both the visual and experiential aspects of the product.
• Organize content and features in a logical and user-friendly manner to create a seamless navigation flow and user journey.
• Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visually map out the layout, structure, and interactions of the user interface, enabling testing and iteration.
• Design visually appealing UI elements, such as icons, buttons, color schemes, typography, and other graphical assets, while ensuring they align with the overall user experience.
• Define how users will interact with the product’s interface elements, including animations, transitions, and micro-interactions to enhance usability and engagement.
• Conduct usability tests to identify pain points, gather user feedback, and refine both the UI and UX design based on user insights.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketers, to ensure the UI and UX design aligns with the overall product vision and goals.
• Ensure that the design is inclusive and accessible to users with diverse abilities, adhering to accessibility standards and guidelines.
• Maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines and standards while also ensuring a cohesive and seamless user experience.

• Maintain open communication and positive working relationship with employees.
• Participate in team brainstorming and design thinking sessions.
• Work with Product Manager, Engineers, and Engineering Managers to execute long term and short- term goals of the department.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve pressing high priority issues.
• Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of a First Degree in a related field.
• Professional certifications in relevant IT trainings are an added advantage (Example A+ etc.).
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years relevant experience.
