Job Description

• The IT Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure within a fast-paced media and creative firm.
• This includes managing hardware, software, network systems, and providing technical support to creative teams.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique technology needs within the media industry, including multimedia production, digital asset management, and data security.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and workstations.
• Provide technical support for media production software such as video editing suites, graphic design tools, and content management systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for the creative team, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
• Oversee the integration and maintenance of digital asset management (DAM) systems and ensure proper storage of multimedia files.
• Ensure network security by implementing and managing firewalls, antivirus solutions, and encryption protocols.
• Monitor and manage cloud-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and storage utilization.
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure smooth IT operations during live productions, events, or broadcasting.
• Conduct regular maintenance of all IT equipment, ensuring that hardware such as servers, computers, and audiovisual equipment is up-to-date and functioning.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and installations for new software and hardware.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and IT onboarding for new team members.
• Ensure regular backups of all critical systems and media files, and establish a disaster recovery plan.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and tools in the media and creative industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT Specialist, preferably within the media or creative industries.
• Proficiency in managing both Mac and Windows-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with multimedia production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of network management, cloud systems, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems and media file formats.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
