Job Description

• Our Client is seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to lead our tax team in Nigeria.
• As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, and leading the tax team in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory services to clients, including tax planning, tax compliance, and tax dispute resolution
• Lead the tax team in Nigeria, providing guidance and oversight to team members
• Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Collaborate with clients to understand their tax needs and provide tailored solutions
• Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• Communicate complex tax concepts to clients and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, including IFRS and Financial Accounting standards

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ICAN certification
• Years of experience in tax consulting or a related field

Requirements:

• ICAN qualification (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria)
• Experience in a consulting firm, preferably in a tax role
• Sound knowledge of Financial Accounting and IFRS
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with tax software and technology.
