Description

• We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Apps Manager to join our client in the Oil and Gas sector.
• In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and management of application systems that support the company's operations and business objectives.
• You will lead a team of developers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and enhance applications that optimize user experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the application development life cycle from concept to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers and application specialists.
• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and develop application solutions that align with business goals.
• Ensure that applications are scalable, secure, and designed with user experience in mind.
• Manage and optimize application performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback to the development team to ensure best practices are followed.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance the application ecosystem.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless application integration.
• Prepare and present reports on application performance and project status to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in application development or management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in various programming languages and frameworks, including but not limited to Java, .NET, or Python.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile and DevOps.
• Experience with cloud-based applications and deployment platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Project management experience is a plus, with relevant certifications considered an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
