TAAS College, Ibadan isa Co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, Amunigun Village, Bode Igbo, Ibadan. The Nursery and primary school was upgraded to the secondary school by the governing council as a result of a remarkable acceptance by the Muslim Community and within a short period of existence. The college which is enriched with stately built school premises in a serene and conducive environment with modern facilities commenced operations in 2005.

Job Description

• We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English & Literature Teacher to join our educational team.
• The ideal candidate will teach both English Language and Literature to secondary school students, helping them to develop strong communication, comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills.
• The teacher will be responsible for designing engaging lesson plans, assessing student performance, and fostering a love for reading and writing among students.
• As this is a residential position, the teacher must be prepared to live on the school premises and actively participate in the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to students in accordance with the curriculum.
• Create lesson plans that are engaging, creative, and aligned with educational standards.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and exams.
• Facilitate class discussions that develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help improve their language and literary abilities.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in curriculum development.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the school community.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Ibadan, Lagos, Ogun, or other Southwest states.
• Must be willing to live within the school premises.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in English and Literature is preferred.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be tech-savvy and able to incorporate technology into teaching practices.
• Passionate about education and helping students succeed.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with online teaching tools and platforms is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to different teaching methods to suit various learning styles.

Salary
N50,000 - N65,000 per month.
