BlackSnipe Records is a subsidiary of BlackSnipe Entertainment, Inc and it was first conceptualized and Established on 19th August, 2009 with a vision of creating a recording label and Talent management company that would cater for talented young artists, who many major record companies were overlooking.

Job Description

• Blacksnipe Records is a global leader in Talent Management and Record label in Africa.
• We are looking for a strong individual who has an extensive knowledge of dancehall music & it's genres.
• A key goal of this position is to continually build a diverse portfolio of partnerships and interactions to support artist & their music.

Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:

• Search for and find exceptional unsigned artists worthy of signing to our label, present them to our Department and aid in efforts to get artists to sign.
• Also search for and find exceptional artists signed to independent labels or majors or international artists who are or may soon become available for signing, and then present those artists and aid in efforts to sign them.
• With respect to all such recordings, working with A&R Administration to negotiate contracts,
• Ensure that all such recordings are acceptable for delivery, including following all procedures established by the Label.
• Work closely with any artist for whom he is responsible and the artist’s management, as well as liaising with all personal within
• the label with respect to all such artists and their recordings.
• A key goal of this position is to continually build a diverse portfolio of partnerships and interactions to support.
• Arrange for all remixes requested by the Head of A&R.
• -Perform any A&R research tasks requested by the Head of A&R or other appropriate executive, including searching social media,
• blogs and other online websites, radio charts such as Mediabase and BDS and sales charts such as Amazon, iTunes and Soundscan for artists worthy of signing, as well as for songs, producers, songwriters and remixers.
• Perform any other A&R tasks requested by the Head of A&R.

Requirements
Self Starter:

• Provide links to 1- 3 ACTIVE social networking profiles to demonstrate interest and knowledge.
• Possess skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and artist management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Html Social Media, audio, etc...
• Professional communication skills (i.e. making calls, composing emails).
• Credits/Degree in Business, Recording Arts, Public Relations.
• Creativity is a must.
