International Institute of Tropical Agriculture - IITA with Headquarters at Ibadan, is an International Agricultural Research Centre in the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), which is an association of about 50 countries, international and regional organizations, and private foundations. IITA seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way in order to improve the nutritional status and well-being of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa.
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the following positions at the Institute's Kano Station
Research Supervisor (2 years renewable contract)Location: Kano State
Responsibilities The successful candidates will among other things:
- Conduct field survey
- Manage data and carry out preliminary analysis
- Prepare preliminary reports
- Browse on internet and make library searches to collect information.
- Supervise subordinates and
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Qualification / Experience - B.Sc in Agric-Economics plus 3 years post qualification.
- He/She must have the knowledge of computer softwares like; SPSS, STATA, SAS, LIMPEP etc
- Ability to communicate fluently in Hausa language and also good driving skills plus possession of valid Drivers' Licence are required.
