Job Description
Objective:

• Ensuring the optimal functioning of the production department. This includes both production and logistics operations. Managing and supporting the employees of the department. Develop, implement and monitor policies.

Result areas:
Preparation:

• In consultation with the Operations Director, develops policies, draws up the resulting action plans, ensures the implementation of these plans and adjusts them if necessary
• Identifies market developments and aligns policy as necessary
• Sets, in consultation with the Operations Director, departmental objectives and communicates them to his employees

Implementation:

• Ensures proper handling of production
• Ensures the correct handling of logistic operations
• Handles management production reporting
• Ensures regular work consultation
• Develops, initiates and implements working methodologies to improve the department
• Has responsibility for the planning of the of the Production department

Leadership:

• 30 to 40 employees
• The performance of production department staff
• Seeking to optimise the use of available capacity
• Mutual communication and cooperation, including with other departments
• Encouraging the personal development of its employees
• Proper implementation of policies
• Conducting assessment and performance interviews
• Providing regular work consultation
• Actively managing absenteeism

Powers:

• Determines, within the set budget and objectives, the developments of the
• Production policy as a member of the Steering Committee
• Takes new developments into account and determines the measures to be taken

Responsibilities

• Carrying out work of the production department and ultimately responsible for the department's results
• Co-developing and implementing policy
• Proper handling of projects
• Production reports for management
• Setting departmental objectives
• Complying with safety, health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations
• Reporting deviations/accidents and near accidents

Communications:

• Management - in connection with setting production policy
• Colleagues - for information, planning, transfer of knowledge on technology, pricing policy and product development
• Clients on quality, orders, technical issues and delivery time and complaints
• Employees to carry out managerial responsibilities
• Colleagues on the Steering Committee on which the manager sits
• Expression skills in foreign languages
• English language, when dealing with head office
• Frecnh speaker will be an advantage
