Deputy Director - General at the Insurance Institute of Nigeria (IIN)

The Insurance Institute of Nigeria (IIN) commenced operation in 1957, it was granted Charter status under the provision of Act No. 22 on 26th February, 1993. Under the Charter, the Institute (Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria) has been given the legal power of determining the standard of knowledge and skill to be attained by persons seeking to become registered member of the Insurance Profession.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Deputy Director - General

Location: Lagos

Descriptions

• The Deputy Director-General shall be a fit and proper person.
• The Ideal candidate should be between the age bracket of 40-50, and should possess varied experiences in administration with a track record of integrity and performance.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director - General of the Institute.
• Oversees the Examination and Membership portfolio of the Institute.
• Deputises for the Director-General in his absence.
• Any other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must have a Degree (Minimum of Second Class, Lower Division) from a recognized University in Insurance or other Social Science disciplines or equivalent.
• Must be an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria or similar professional Institute
• Must have 15 years post qualification experience.
• Must have held a Senior Management position in an Insurance or related company for at least five (5) years.

Condition of Service

• The Conditions of Service are attractive and can compare favourably with what obtains in any similar institute in the country.
• The successful candidates who qualify for pensionable appointment will be on probation for Six (6) months after which the appointment may be confirmed to a retiring age, provided the performance of such person is considered satisfactory by the Governing Council.
