Job Title: Civil Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are looking for a talented and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Abuja.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other civil works.
• You will ensure projects meet all technical specifications, regulatory standards, and are completed within budget and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to analyze construction feasibility and project scope.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure coordinated efforts in project execution.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality regulations.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and timelines for project execution.
• Perform risk assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact analyses for projects.
• Provide technical advice and solutions to resolve engineering challenges during construction.
• Oversee and manage contractors and laborers to ensure project timelines are met.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or structural projects.
• Proficient in engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory standards.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with project teams and clients.
• Ability to relocate or commute to Abuja.

Preferred Certifications:

• Professional certification, such as COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria), is highly desirable.
• Project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
